Current schemes

Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS)

Grant support for eligible heat-pump installations, up to £7,500 for air-source and £9,000 for ground-source, subject to scheme rules and installer eligibility.

Grant-funded work is delivered with MCS-certified partners while our own MCS registration is in progress. The grant is applied for before work starts and deducted from the invoice where the rules allow.

0% VAT on energy-saving materials

Heat pumps, solar panels and battery storage can qualify for 0% VAT until 31 March 2027, after which the rate is expected to change. Eligibility depends on the property and the scope.

We show the VAT treatment separately in the quotation; it is not a discount invented by us.

Warm Homes Loan

Government-backed 0% loans for heat pumps, solar and batteries. The public consumer scheme was not yet open as of October 2026; do not treat lead-generation pages as an application route.

We will update this page when the scheme opens and its rules are confirmed.

Consumer Loan Scheme

A separate loan scheme announced for April 2027, after the current 0% VAT window ends. It is a future scheme, not a current application route.

We do not lend money or arrange credit; any loan is between you and the lender.

Energy Company Obligation (ECO4)

Supplier-led efficiency support for eligible low-income households, closing to new referrals on 31 December 2026. Eligibility and delivery are controlled by the supplier, not by us.

Ask us to check whether a proposed measure fits the scheme before you rely on it.

Local authority support

Some councils offer additional grants or loans. These are local, time-limited and often income- or property-tested; we check the current published criteria rather than assuming a national scheme exists.

How we check eligibility

  1. Property and existing system. We confirm the fuel, heating system, insulation and any listed-building or planning constraints.
  2. Scheme rules at the date of quote. We check the official guidance, not an old blog post or a lead-generation site.
  3. Installer eligibility. Where a scheme requires an MCS-certified installer or a registered partner, the work is delivered through that route and stated in the quote.
  4. Written position before work. The quotation separates the gross price, grant (if confirmed), VAT treatment and any amount you pay.

What we do not promise

  • We do not guarantee a grant, loan or 0% VAT outcome before checking the property and the current rules.
  • We do not invent a monthly payment or APR; any finance example must come from the lender.
  • We do not describe an application as approved when it is only submitted.
  • We do not treat a grant as a discount on our price; it is funding from the scheme.

If a scheme closes or its rules change, the written quotation is the document that governs the works.

Check your project before you commit
