Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026
This policy explains how M&E Solutions (“we”, “us”) handles personal data collected through www.m-and-e.co.uk. We are the data controller for that data. You can contact us through the contact form.
What we collect
When you submit an enquiry, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, telephone number, the service you are interested in, and your message. We also record the page you submitted from, the submission time, your browser user-agent, and your consent confirmation.
We do not ask for special-category data. Please do not send health, financial or other sensitive information through the form unless it is necessary for your enquiry.
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quotation or site visit.
- To keep a record of the enquiry and any resulting work.
- To meet legal, tax, insurance and building-work record-keeping obligations.
- To protect the website and prevent spam or abuse.
We rely on your consent when you submit the form, and on our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries and running the website. Where a contract is formed, we also process data to perform that contract.
Who receives it
Website hosting and the lead database are provided by Google Firebase. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. These providers process data on our behalf under their applicable terms and data-protection safeguards. We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
We may share information with professional advisers, insurers or contractors where necessary to deliver a project, or where required by law.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are normally deleted after 24 months. If a project proceeds, records are kept for the period required for contractual, tax, insurance and building-work purposes, normally up to six years after completion. You can ask us to delete an enquiry earlier where we do not need to keep it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing. You can withdraw consent at any time. Use the contact form and state what you want us to do. We may need to verify your identity.
If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Security and changes
We use access controls and encrypted HTTPS connections. No internet transmission is completely secure, so please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive material. We may update this policy; the date above will change when we do.
